Early Career Researchers

In previous ISCHE-conferences, several events aimed exclusively at early career researchers took place. The ISCHE 42 ECR representatives Inês Félix (Executive Committee), Emma Vikström and Franziska Primus (Local Organizing Committee) want to support and involve ECRs during this year’s virtual conference.

Further information about ISCHE 42 initiatives for ECRs will be available here later on.

ISCHE ECR THINKERING INITIATIVE
The ECR representative of the ISCHE Executive Committee would like to invite Early Career Researchers to imagine and put into place playful experimentation with digital tools and applications for doing research in history of education and organizing our first virtual ISCHE conference. Please get in touch with Inês Felix should you wish to join this collaboration of young scholars dedicated to finding innovative forms of organizing conferences and doing research.

ISCHE Early Career Conference Paper Award

The ISCHE Early Career Conference Paper Award is given for the best paper presented at the previous ISCHE conference by an Early Career Researcher.

The award committee consists of four members who are jointly appointed by the chief local organizer, the President of ISCHE and the editor-in-chief of Paedagogica Historica. In evaluating submissions the committee takes into consideration the quality of the work, innovation in sources and methods used, contribution to the annual conference theme and overall contribution to the field.

The papers submitted should be developed as if for an article submitted to Paedagogica Historica. For further information, please see the journal’s instructions for authors. Information about how to submit a paper for the award is announced at each ISCHE conference.

The ISCHE Early Career Conference Paper Award may be selected to be published in the conference special issue of Paedagogica Historica or in a general issue with acknowledgement to ISCHE conference.

If you will present a paper at ISCHE 42 in Örebro and are interested in submitting it to the Award, information on how to do it will be available here by the end of the conference.
